COMMITTEE’S GOALS/OBJECTIVES:

  1. Raise the level of awareness of the Rotary Club of Santa Rosa and Rotary International in the community and beyond.
  2. Work directly with local media representatives to enhance the Club’s ability to gain coverage of events and fund-raising events.
  3. Work with Club committees to coordinate and upgrade public relations and publicity efforts.

HOW WILL YOUR COMMITTEE ACHIEVE THE GOALS/OBJECTIVES

  1. Coordinated marketing of Rotary to all local media professionals.
  2. Provide training and support to Club committees for their publicity efforts.
  3. Create marketing materials to be used by Club members to stimulate interest in and awareness of Rotary.
  4. Keep our Facebook page fresh with things going on with our club and Rotary International.
  5. Find events where we can bring our event tent and banners.
  6. Form a dynamic committee and put together a marketing plan where each committee member has a role in implementing the plan.

GENERAL REMARKS:

Work closely with Photography, Membership, Bulletin, and Web Site Committees.

  1. File bulletins and photos to keep historical record for the club.
  2. Gather memorabilia to ad to club archives.
  3. Help with gathering material for a Annual History book for this year’s president
  4. Develop a file of Presidential Bloopers for the Debunking Committee.

HOW WILL YOUR COMMITTEE ACHIEVE THE GOALS/OBJECTIVES

  1. Accumulate records from past committees.
  2. Review and refine filing system to assure safety of records.

COMMITTEE’S GOALS/OBJECTIVES:

  1. Publish an electronic & printed bulletin each week.
  2. Target distribution by Monday following the weekly meeting.

HOW WILL YOUR COMMITTEE ACHIEVE THE GOALS/OBJECTIVES

  1. Organize a committee of club members assigned to prepare an electronic draft. The editor will compose and key-board the bulletin from information gleaned at the meeting, email it to our webmaster for composing the electronic version.
  2. The webmaster will download a version to A.J. Printing for printing a small quantity for USPS mailing to those who do not have e-mail resources.

    • Create a system for routine updates and corrections to site.
    • Recruit web site committee members to assist with site maintenance.
    • Consistently market usage of the site to Club membership and promote through digital and printed materials.
    • Keep members updated with new content available on the site.

HOW WILL YOUR COMMITTEE ACHIEVE THE GOALS/OBJECTIVE?

    • Coordinate the efforts of web site administrators, roster and bulletin publishers, and Club committees to keep  the site current.
    • Work with the above team to design a system to be used for routine site maintenance and backups.
    • Work closely with the District’s webmaster who is currently Tom Boylan.
    • See that site address is listed on all Club printed and digital materials.
    • Work closely with the Marketing Committee.
    • Keep the calendar up to date with club, District and RI events.
    • Provide the members with announcements about current site content.
    • Maintain the integration with the Club’s Facebook pages which include, Rotary Club of Santa Rosa Facebook page, Rotary Club of Santa Rosa’s Facebook group, the Giro Bello Page and the Pillow Fights Page.
    • Maintain the integration with the club’s Twitter pages which include the Giro Bello page and the Pillow Fights page.
    • Maintain the integration with the club’s Google+ page.
    • Maintain the integration with the club’s Google photo albums.  [/list]

  1. Visual documentation of club meetings, awards, guest special guests, and other significant Club event for the bulletin.
  2. Visual documentation for Club activities to be used by PR committee.
  3. Visual history of Club activities to be stored by Club Historian.
  4. Photograph club members for the Roster.

HOW WILL YOUR COMMITTEE ACHIEVE THE GOALS/OBJECTIVES

  1. Committee members will share responsibility for photography at weekly meeting and club events.
  2. Coordinate with Bulletin editor, PR committee and Historian.
  3. Begin to use electronic media whenever possible for efficiency and cost cutting.
  4. Explore the feasibility of videotaping special events, and coordinate with bulletin to seek a volunteer to assist.
