COMMITTEE’S GOALS/OBJECTIVES:

  1. Host and support one exchange student from August to July annually.
  2. Send & support one exchange student.
  3. Create a new welcome package for new exchange students.
  4. Update the record keeping procedures to fulfill new guidelines for host families.

HOW WILL YOUR COMMITTEE ACHIEVE THE GOALS/OBJECTIVES

  1. Select 3-4 families who will host a student in their homes. Encourage other members of Rotary to serve as “friends & family” by including the YE student in their family activities.
  2. Maintain consistent & thorough connection with District Youth Exchange rules & programs.
  3. Planning session in June with all committee members to coordinate the whole year ahead.

  1. Widen the range of possible applicants.
  2. Improve the quality of applicants.
  3. Select candidates to be submitted to District 5130.
  4. Prepare applicants for interview process.

HOW WILL YOUR COMMITTEE ACHIEVE THE GOALS/OBJECTIVES

  1. Early Press Release.
  2. Contact former students.
  3. Request draft applications for comment & edit.
  4. Target SRJC & SSU faculty going on sabbatical.
  5. Meet with applicants to make selection, introduce as guest at our Rotary meeting

COMMITTEE’S GOALS/OBJECTIVES:

  1. Raise the level of awareness in our own club to the value of serving the world at large.
  2. Seek new avenues for world service, as well as leverage existing projects/partner with other Rotary clubs, focusing on projects involving health, safe water, literacy & woman’s needs through renewable programs such as wells, micro-lending & agriculture.
  3. Establish & support a minimum of one international service project per year.

HOW WILL YOUR COMMITTEE ACHIEVE THE GOALS/OBJECTIVES

  1. Committee members will foster greater interest & visibility on international service in weekly Rotary Club meetings.
  2. Committee members will work to have a more visible presence at the annual fundraising event.
  3. Committee members will seek out international connections with other Rotary Clubs and incorporate world community service into their travels abroad.
  4. Committee members will actively pursue project funding, ranging from outside sources to independent fund raising activities & the support of their local club.
