Santa Rosa History Filmmakers
Nick Tipon & Don Cambou

A special showing of a new film covering the nearly 150-year history of Santa Rosa will be our program on March 1st. Two men who researched and produced the film will be our guests.

Producer Don Cambou has 35 years’ experience in the production of documentary films. This includes 15 years of producing Modern Marvels for the History Channel.  Don currently lives in Sebastopol and attended Santa Rosa High School.

Historian Nick Tipon was born and raised in Santa Rosa, attended local schools and spent his entire career (33 years) as a teacher at local high schools. Retired for the past 12 years, he still resides in and enjoys his “home town’.  Nick is currently a Board member of the California Mission Foundation and the Historical Society of Santa Rosa. He lectures on a variety of topics related to changes to Native American cultural resources, archaeology and the curation and treatment of cultural resources.

Copies of the 33 minute DVD will be available for a donation of $20.

Invite your friends and come celebrate “Santa Rosa: The Chosen Spot of all the Earth”.
