David Rabbitt was elected in November 2010 to represent Sonoma County’s 2nd District on the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. David began his four year term in January after previously serving as a Petaluma City Council Member including a year as Vice-Mayor.
Supervisor Rabbitt is currently Chair of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. He is dedicated to providing support for our local economy including the tourism and agriculture industries. In addition, Supervisor Rabbitt takes seriously his duty a fiduciary agent for the residents and taxpayers of Sonoma County. He has chosen to address the hard hitting issue of Pension Reform and guided efforts to protect our County roads and bridge infrastructure.
David also represents Sonoma County as a Director on the California Association of Counties, Golden Gate Bridge District, Association of Bay Area Governments, the North Bay Water Reuse Authority, Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) , Sonoma County Transportation Authority, BEST or Building Economic Success Together , trustee of the Sonoma County Employees’ Retirement Association and David was also recently appointed to the Seismic Safely Commission by Governor Brown.
Besides serving Sonoma County, Supervisor David Rabbitt is an experienced business owner, an Architect, and perhaps his greatest achievement is that of a proud Husband and Father of three- Megan, Patrick, and Sarah.
