- Transcendence Theatre Company and Broadway Under The Stars co-founders Amy Miller and Stephan Stubbins will share inspiring stories about how far Transcendence has come in its eight years in Sonoma County, and give insights about what the company is planning this summer in regards to performances and outreach. In addition they will share exciting news about Transcendence’s first ever full musical in Jack London State Historic Park this summer, “A Chorus Line”. The talk will culminate with a song or two from Transcendence Broadway artists.
- Amy Miller:
Amy Miller (Artistic Director, Founding Artist) For the past 8 years, it has been the greatest honor of Amy’s life to join with artists and community members from around the world to bring the vision of the Transcendence Theatre Company to life. In 2014, Amy was named one of the North Bay Business Journal’s Forty Under Forty for excellence in vision, leadership, and community outreach. Under her leadership, Transcendence Theatre Company won the Broadway World San Francisco Award for Theater of the Year in 2013 & 2014, and she’s profoundly inspired to continue to bring the ultimate vision for Transcendence to life in the years to come. Broadway/National Tour: 42ND STREET. Select TV/Film Credits: The Newsroom, Law & Order Los Angeles, Jake in Progress, & over twenty National Commercials. Favorite Musical Ever: A Chorus Line. Number that has guided her life: 14. - Stephan Stubbins:
Stephan is the co-Executive Director/CMO and co-Founder of Transcendence Theatre Company as well as the CTA Super Ambassador for the Arts for Sonoma County Tourism. Stephan’s career as a performer has been highlighted by his time on Broadway in “Mary Poppins,” singing an opening act solo for Frank Sinatra, headlining an opening act for Rita Moreno, and working with Broadway, Music, TV, and Film legends on and offstage including Dick Van Dyke, Kristin Chenoweth, Barry Manilow, Ben Vereen, Martin Short, Jason Alexander, Sutton Foster, Conan O’Brien, and more. Stephan has a diverse business background including co-founding the company The Theatre Mafia, appearing as a guest teacher for NYU and University of Michigan, and employment with the hedge fund Cerberus Capital Management in NYC. He was named one of the North Bay Business Journal’s Forty Under Forty for excellence in vision, leadership and community outreach. Stephan is a graduate of Webster University and can be seen on almost any given week somewhere in wine country singing for a non-profit cause, service group, pet shelter, senior center, concierge group, or promotional opportunity in support of taking life and art to new levels of transcendence.
