[imageeffect type=”shadowreflection” align=”alignleft” width=”300″ alt=”” url=”/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/larry-bello.png” ]Larry Bello was a Rotarian for 31 years, was President of the Rotary Club of Santa Rosa for the 1990 – 1991 year and was District Governor of Rotary District 5130 for the 1997 – 1998 year. Larry was dedicated to helping the youth in our community by fostering and developing their education.
Larry believed that all youth would be better served if they had higher education opportunities, including vocational training for those not inclined towards purely academic programs. With this desire to support our local students, the Rotary Club of Santa Rosa established a scholarship in Larry’s name to provide financial assistance for college students entering or continuing an occupational or vocational program.
This scholarship has been awarded to students enrolled in the culinary arts, teaching, and nursing programs.
