He joined the Rotary Club of Santa Rosa in 1947 and served as its president in 1959-60. In 1966-67, he was a District Governor of Rotary, overseeing membership in an area that stretched from Santa Cruz to the Oregon border.

Please consider making a contribution to the Stanley L. Lance Memorial Leadership Award & Scholarship fund.  Stan Lance epitomized the spirit of community leadership and involvement in Sonoma County. This scholarship was created both to honor him, and as a way of helping develop and assist a new generation of community leaders committed to the motto of “Service about Self.”
