Rotary International and Santa Rosa Junior College are committed to educating future leaders. The SRJC Foundation and the SRJC Associated Students offer a unique opportunity to combine our shared values through the establishment of the Rotary Center for Student Leadership at SRJC.
SRJC’s Center for Student Leadership provides an environment to engage students in a variety of learning experiences to expand their knowledge and abilities in leadership and service. Students learn the principles of civic responsibility, respect, justice, and integrity, and student leaders can apply what they’ve learned to their work in the community.
The Center for Student Leadership at Santa Rosa Junior College is located in the Lawrence A. Bertolini Student Center. The Associated Students are represented by student senators and also include a student representative to the Sonoma County Junior College District Board of Trustees. The Associated Students represent the opinions, perspectives, and needs of students; provide opportunities for leadership development, plan meaningful activities and events, and sponsor a variety of programs, services, clubs, and organizations.
This new relationship will begin with naming the Rotary Center for Student Leadership, which is situated in the Lawrence A. Bertolini Student Center. The significant value of this collaborative relationship will be realized through Rotary’s opportunities for direct involvement in the development of leadership workshops and training programs, a lecture series, and identifying opportunities for mentoring students in the years ahead.
