“3 Acre Holler”

Featuring Layne Bowen and Cori Wood
Joined by award winning fiddler Paul Shelasky

3 Acre Holler is a folk/old time music duet from Sonoma County. The duet features Forestville vocalist Cori Wood and Layne Bowen on guitars and vocals. Together, Cori and Layne interpret traditional songs of rural America while also featuring their own original songs and songs from contemporary writers they admire.  Today, they will be joined by award winning fiddler Paul Shelasky.  Paul is perhaps the most acclaimed bluegrass fiddler in California and was awarded a Lifetime Membership to the California Bluegrass Association. He has been a featured player with David Grisman, legendary bluegrass band The Good Old Persons, Laurie Lewis and many, many others. Layne said, “Paul’s a pretty good fiddler, but we thought we’d bring him along for his comedic skills.” They’ll play a few songs, maybe let Paul rip up a fiddle tune or two and talk about the roots music business in the Bay Area and beyond. Feel free to ask questions between songs!
