HELPING UKRAINIANS IN THEIR TIME OF NEED
It is a tragic and sad time for the people of Ukraine and the world.
As Rotarians, we are deeply concerned by the deteriorating situation in Ukraine and the escalating loss of life and humanitarian hardship there. Continued military action against Ukraine will not only devastate the region, but also risk spreading tragic consequences across Europe and the world.
Our Rotary Club of Santa Rosa and the Rotary Club of Santa Rosa East/West are collaborating with the Rotary Club Cherkasy-Centre, Ukraine to help them procure desperately needed medical supplies and medicines for local hospitals and civilians in Cherkasy. Through our financial collaboration, we can wire funds to a secure foundation bank account, and through established contacts, needed supplies will be procured and delivered through safe channels.
Your donations will be made to our established non-profit foundation account “Santa Rosa East Rotary Foundation” for the sole benefit of this project. The Foundation’s tax EIN is 68-0374168. For individuals wishing to pay by check, please make them payable to Santa Rosa East Rotary Foundation and mail it to P.O. Box 2785; Santa Rosa, CA 95405. Please write “Cherkasy” on the memo line.

The following Press Democrat article describes our connection to Cherkasy, Ukraine and the Rotary Club Cherkasy-Centre:
$150,000 has been raised to date for medical supplies and over 4,000 first aid kits. Our goal is to fund another 1,000 first aid kits for Ukraine to help with civilian casualties of this ongoing war. Additional funds will reused to procure additional medical supplies for local hospitals. Your generous contributions will make a difference in saving lives.

A Coordinating Committee made up of members from the three Rotary Clubs: Cherkasy-Centre, Santa Rosa East/West, and Santa Rosa, has been established to oversee project development, funding, and implementation.
