(Jeff’s Bio)

We’re a leadership organization of local business, professional and civic leaders.  We meet regularly, get to know each other, form friendships, and through that, we’re able to get things done in this community.  Membership in Rotary immediately connects you with a broad range of professions and professionals in our Club and around the world.  We encourage our members to do business with each other because we trust the members in Rotary.  Service is what Rotarians do.  We change the lives of others in need.

This year’s Rotary International Presidential Theme is “Rotary Opens Opportunities”. Rotary unites people from all continents and cultures who take action to deliver real, long-term solutions to our world’s most persistent issues. Through volunteering, our 1.2 million members make lifelong friendships that transcend political and cultural boundaries and foster global understanding and respect. In addition to our 35,000 clubs, Rotary also offers expanded service opportunities including:

Interact clubs bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self. There are more than 20,300 Interact clubs in 159 countries.

Rotaract clubs bring together young adults, starting at age 18, to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service.

Solving real problems takes real commitment and vision. Each year, Rotary members invest hundreds of millions of dollars and countless volunteer hours to promote health, peace and prosperity in communities across the globe. Rotary members take action by providing access to clean water and sanitation, supporting education, preventing and treating disease, saving mothers and children and growing local economies.

Visitors are welcome at our meetings so please join us for one of our online meetings via Zoom.  We have an interesting line-up of speakers and topics each Wednesday at noon.  Family, friends and business associates can join in our meetings and service projects.  Contact our Club Secretary, Debi Zaft,  debizaft@sonic.net  , for information on an upcoming meeting.

The Rotary Club of Santa Rosa is committed to serving our local community, as well as supporting the efforts of Rotary International to eliminate polio from our planet, improve education, grow local economies, support mothers and children, to ensure every person has access to clean water and sanitation.  This year, our local efforts are focused on assisting our community recover from the impacts of COVID-19 and the impacts to our local economy. We are partnering with community non-profits to support their efforts to make a difference for those in need.  This important work that will continue during the year along with our ongoing efforts to assist those impacted by recent fires and floods in our community.
