Opening Ceremonies:

President Ray, for the last time greeted us and welcomed all to “Debunking Day!”  A whole lot of people wearing camouflage today for the debunking

Odalis Medianero read a favorite quote from the Dalai Lama and from Rumi, “Dance, when you’re broken open. Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance when you are perfectly free.”

Guests:

Mel Conrad, Deanie Wilmsen, Amanda Wilmsen, Chris Leathers

Sunshine:

Jeff Gospe was back after his successful kidney surgery!

Announcements:

Odalis Medianero announced a fund raiser for the Arlene Francis Center, “Salsa Rosa.”  See her for the details. The center is near and dear to her heart. She will be singing at the event.

Mark Burchill is still selling pins from the 100th anniversary. Thursday, June 30th is the last day to order shirts and sweaters.

Giro Bello:

Another successful year! We did not use the Holy Ghost parking lot, so they are refunding our $300! We had 541 riders sign up and 66 did not make it (thank you for your contribution!). More information to follow as the accounting needs to be completed. If anyone has receipts from the event and you want to get reimbursed, please get the receipts to Andrea Geary ASAP.

Giro Bello shirts are now free! Get them while they last.

Raffle:

Today we had 8 marbles and $79.00 in the pot. Dan Balfe had the lucky number, but he pulled a yellow marble. “Out of the pocket and into the pail!” was a little noisier today as everyone dumped their change into the pots for President Ray’s last day. We cannot wait to find out how much that is! However, Debi Zaft and Karen Ball are probably not too happy about counting for the bank deposit!

Rotarian of the Year:

There he was, getting ready for the debunking and you could see the emotion on his face. Jeff Gospe is our Rotarian of the year! He has been the club photographer, debunking planner, and really a driving force in our efforts to raise money for Ukraine. He gave of his money, time, and talent for our club. Congratulations Jeff! Well deserved!

Debunking! President Ray, this is your Life!”

You must see it to appreciate. Here is the cloud recording:
