Rotaract Fund Raiser
If anyone would like to donate money to GRA (Global Rotaract Alumni Club) they can donate the money on the GOSC site and include a note that it is for GRA. This would help us tremendously to continue growing as a club and be able to conduct larger scale projects. Here is the donation link: Donate Now – Global Offsite Care

Opening The Meeting

For the last time, President Casey opened the meeting with “Welcome to the Rotary Club of Santa Rosa where the Magic or Rotary is alive and well as we continue to do good things in our world and have fun doing it.”

Gary Nichols led us in the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and the Four/Five Way Test.

His refection was on pizza, specifically margarita pizza. In 1889 Queen Margarita visited Naples and tried three pizzas and they reminded her of the Italian flag.  So today is Margarita Pizza Day.  He also gave us a quote for the day, “Your life is a sum of your choices.” Where did it come from?  Mission Impossible.

Visiting Rotarians:

Jim Grady, our outgoing District Governor, David Mark Raymond from Sebastopol. Tiffany Nguyen, Sophia Nguyen, and Edgar Manjor; Rotaractors from SRJC. Ella Bernstein and Jack Jacobs from the Cardinal Newman Rotaract Club.

Rotarian of the Month

That would be Craig Meltzner!  He does an outstanding job in all that he does for Rotary.  Recently he put together the excellent Public Safety Awards.  He Serves on the Foundation board and he is a key person with Youth Exchange.

$1,000,000+ Donations to Rotary!

Can you believe that our club has donated over $1,000,000 to Rotary?  Just think of all the lives we have touch with these donations! How many lives we have saved? Jim O’Grady said we set an example to our District and all of Rotary.  Our giving demonstrates that we believe in the future of our community and the world. (See Additional Pictures below for the cake)

Casey’s Farewell Address

(Editor’s Note…Casey’s slides are attached below, so I won’t duplicate everything.)

Casey spoke of all the speakers we had this year and thanked Susan Nowacki for an outstanding job.

His favorite programs were the High School Student Recognitions, the Rotary Foundation Scholarships and the Public Service Awards.

He gave a recap of all the organizations we served…and there were a lot!

All the Rotarians that were Rotarians of the Month and all the socials.

We are one very busy club that lives “The Magic of Rotary.”

Thank you, Casey!
