The fund was established in 2010 with seed money from the bequests of the late Carol Shaffner and Rotarian Woody Mikesell. The fund continues to grow thanks to the generosity of Rotarians as well as members of the community at large. Revenue from the fund currently supports two $1,500 scholarships for SRJC transfer students.
The cost of a university education continues to increase making it very difficult for students to continue their education beyond SRJC. The students selected to receive this scholarship must meet a rigorous set of criteria which not only focuses on academic achievement but also college/community service, special talents and economic need.
Please consider making a contribution to the Rotary Club of Santa Rosa Foundation Trustees Scholarship Endowment Fund and by so doing, help outstanding and very deserving students pursue a university education.
